Azealia Banks is not ready to let her feud with singer Troye Sivan rest after calling him out over comments he made about the rapper on a U.S. late night show.
The musicians’ feud started earlier this year (18), when Troye revealed he was interested in collaborating with the outspoken and controversial 212 hitmaker, but didn’t feel comfortable approaching her.
“I was a huge Azealia Banks fan but that all went south a little bit,” he said in an interview on the Zach Sang radio show. “It’s just one of those annoying things, where you just wanna support (her) so bad and it just doesn’t work out like that. Then she’ll put out a song and you’ll be like, ‘It’s so good’, but you just can’t engage.”
After the interview, Banks verbally attacked Sivan and called him “entitled”.
“Ok tbh (to be honest) i have never heard a Troye Sivan song a day in my life,” she wrote on Instagram. “The only reason I know about him is because (my fan group) likes him. But how is he gonna be like ‘he wanted to collab but things went south’… what type of entitlement (sic)?”
“LOL (laugh out loud), who told him a collab with me was a possibility?” she added. “These white gays love to dog me yet can never keep my name out of their mouths. For the record I am not interested nor have I ever been interested in a collaboration with Troye Sivan.”
Troye was asked what he would say to Azealia if he found himself in the same elevator with her on a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live! and he insisted he would tell her he’s still a huge fan.
“It’s weird because there was, like, a… it’s not even a thing, but there was a little thing,” Sivan responded. “But I would just say, like ‘Hey, I love your music’, because I do.”
However, Banks did not reciprocate the praise.
“The white gays are obsessed,” she wrote on Twitter alongside a video of Sivan on the chat show. “Give it a rest already. Honestly… shit is mad annoying. How about you turn around and face the corner of the elevator?. Or… how about you get off the elevator so I can ride in peace thank you.”
