Comedian Aziz Ansari has focused his Saturday Night Live monologue American demagogue Donald Trump and likened some of his supporters to Chris Brown fans.
“A lot of people voted for Trump like they listen to the music of Chris Brown. I’m just here for the tunes, I’m just here for the tunes,” Ansari said in his opening monologue. “I don’t know about that other stuff I just like the dancing and the music. I don’t condone the extracurriculars”.
“Donald Trump is the Chris Brown of politics and ‘Make America Great Again’ is basically his ‘These Hoes Ain’t Loyal’.”
Ansari also mentioned how Trump would be likely watching the show instead of running the country. “Pretty cool to know he is probably at home right now watching a brown guy make fun of him,” he said.
Trump was inaugurated in Washington on Friday. An estimated 250,000 people turned out for it, a fraction of the 1.2 million who came to watch President Obama take power. The following day, more than twice as many people who came to see Trump turned out to protest him. “If you look at our country’s history change doesn’t come from Presidents,” Ansari said. “Change comes from large groups of angry people. And if day one is any indication you are part of the largest group of angry people I have ever seen”.
“Yesterday Trump was inaugurated. Today an entire gender protested against him”.
