Barbra Streisand has released her version of John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ ahead of the November 2 release of her album ‘Walls’.
Streisand ‘Imagine’ has coupled Louis Armstrong’s ‘What A Wonderful World’ with the Lennon classic.
Streisand has covered Lennon before. Her 1969 album ‘What About Today’ featured covers of The Beatles ‘With A Little Help From My Friends’ and ‘Goodnight’. Her 1971 album ‘Barbra Joan Streisand’ featured Lennon’s ‘Mother’.
Streisand’s new album ‘Walls’ is her most vocal protest of the US government’s reluctance to accept (or even tell) the truth. The album features politically charged songs like ‘Whats On My Mind’, ‘The Rain Will Fall’, ‘Take Care of This House’ and the scathing ‘Don’t Lie To Me’
