Barbra Streisand opened one of her rare tours on Thursday night at the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY with a nearly three-hour show, even though she was showing the effects of a cold on her voice. Guesting were Il Volo Chris Botti, her son Jason Gould and the Brooklyn Youth Choir.
It was those guests that allowed Streisand time to relax as they took solo turns throughout the evening. Also included in the evening were salutes to the recently passed Donna Summer (Enough is Enough) and Marvin Hamlisch (The Way We Were).
She played the Barclays Center again Saturday night and will follow with dates in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Chicago, Vancouver, Las Vegas, San Jose and Los Angeles.
