Keyboard great Bernie Worrell of Parliament-Funkadelic is suffering from stage 4 lung cancer and a long list of artists are coming out to help with medical expenses.
On April 4, All the Woo in the World: An All-Star Celebration of Bernie Worrell will be held at Webster Hall in New York as a presentation of the Black Rock Coalition.
Tony Pallagrosi, who is one of the advisers for the show, told the Asbury Park Press “Bernie’s a wonderful person and wonderful musician. He brought the Moog synthesizer into the world of funk.”

Worrell, 71, is expected to attend with his wife Judie. He was recently diagnosed with the stage 4 lung cancer that has also spread to his liver.
Tickets are $100 for a meet-and-greet and $50 general admission.
