Ivy Blue Carter has arrived, the first child for Beyonce and Jay-Z.

Although there has been no official press release at the time of this story, Russell Simmons has posted a congrats message to the couple on Twitter.
Blue Ivy Carter was born last night (Friday, US time) at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan’s upper East side. The Daily Mail in the UK reports Jay-Z and Beyonce book the entire forth floor for the delivery for $1.3 million.
Hospital workers were asked to turn off all mobile phones during the delivery and security cameras were covered up.
Beyonce checked into the hospital under the name Ingrid Jackson. She had changed hospitals after media reports a week earlier saying she had booked into St Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital. Reports said she had already delivered a girl and named her Tiana May.
This is the first child for the two superstars and second grandchild for Beyonce’s dad Matthew. Her sister Solange has a 7-year old son.
