Beyonce Asks DJ Khaled To Tour

Hip-hop star DJ Khaled has landed the coveted opening spot on Beyonce’s highly-anticipated tour.

DJ Khaled hitmaker recently signed to Jay Z’s Roc Nation label, and now Khaled has achieved his dream of sharing the stage with the R&B superstar – the wife of his new manager – on her Formation World Tour.

Khaled announced the “major milestone” news via Instagram.com on Tuesday, when he shared video footage of himself interspersed with clips from Beyonce’s own ad promoting the trek.

“I am proud to announce that I, DJ Khaled will be on tour with the icon, Beyonce!!!!!,” he exclaimed in the accompanying caption. “Fan luv (fans), when I tell you that prayer is the so powerful, please believe me.

“I want to thank the incomparable icon Beyonce for this tremendous opportunity of a lifetime. Your music is the soundtrack to so many people’s lives across the globe. Your legacy is a blueprint for the young generation to follow and strive to be. You are the true definition of a superstar. Thank you so much for inviting me on your stage. I promise you this! I’m gonna rip it down so legendary!!!!!!”

Khaled went on to brand the opportunity a “dream come true” as he continued to gush about “the Queen” and his plans for the tour, which will kick off in his hometown of Miami, Florida on 27 April (16).

He will join Beyonce for select dates on the North American leg of the Formation World Tour, including stops in Los Angeles, Philadelphia, New York, and Detroit, Michigan, where she will wrap up the first leg of the trek on 14 June (16).

Meanwhile, Beyonce is preparing to unveil a secret new film project on Saturday night (23Apr16), after sending fans into a frenzy by teasing a promo for Lemonade on social media over the weekend (16Apr16).

The latest reports suggest Lemonade will be a documentary-style film, similar to her 2014 special, Life is But a Dream, which will air on America’s HBO network four days before the launch of her new tour.
