Beyoncé Knowles has landed the cover of Time magazine’s most influential issue.
Every year the publication compiles a list of the 100 top people who influence the world around us, and for 2014 the singer has made the cut. The star appears on the cover in a black and white shot, showing off her amazingly toned physique in a white bra, see-through top and shorts.
The 32-year-old released a self-titled album out of the blue last year and also stunned fans on The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, which finished in March after 11 months of shows.
She juggles her work with being a mother to two-year-old daughter Blue Ivy, who she has with husband Jay Z.
American businesswoman Sheryl Sandberg penned a piece about why Beyoncé deserved to make the list.
“Beyoncé doesn’t just sit at the table. She builds a better one. Today she sits at the head of the boardroom table at Parkwood Entertainment,” she wrote.
“In December, she took the world by surprise when she released a new album, complete with videos, and announced it on Facebook and Instagram. Beyoncé shattered music-industry rules – and sales records.”
Robert Redford also appears on the list, having carried the film All Is Lost as a one-man cast last year. British star Benedict Cumberbatch also made the cut.
Miley Cyrus has been the name on everyone’s lips after ditching her good-girl image last year. The controversial popstar also crops up as one of 2014’s most influential people.
Others in the top 100 include Kerry Washington, Amy Adams, Matthew McConaughey, Carrie Underwood and Pharrell Williams.
