Outkast rapper Big Boi has taken a plea on his August drug charges and tweeted about it.
Associated Press has reported that the rapper agreed to a plea deal in a Miami court, which includes three months of drug testing, community service, and a $2000 donation to charities.
Big Boi was arrested in Miami in August while getting off a cruise ship after ecstasy, MDMA, and a cigarette rolling machine with marijuana residue were found in his luggage.
According to MTV, his attorney Daniel Kane said following the charges: “While Big Boi was traveling with his group and friends, a small amount of contraband was found in the collective luggage. I am confident when the entire facts are aired Big Boi will be completely exonerated”.
He faced two felony drug charges, which will be dismissed if he completes the three month drug testing period clean.
Three hours ago Big Boi tweeted, “It’s a PEE deal, Not a Plea deal. The associated press got it wrong , Big Daniel Kane worked it out, Stank You” and before that, posted a picture of Muhammed Ali dodging a punch in the boxing ring.
