At the age of 72, Bill Medley is heading to Australia for his first ever headline tour to mark the 50th anniversary of his duo The Righteous Brothers.

Medley formed The Righteous Brothers with Bobby Hatfield in 1963. Although they stopped recording in 1975, the Righteous Brothers continued as a performing act right up until Hatfield’s death in 2003.

Medley sang the lower parts of the song, Hatfield had the higher register.

The Righteous Brothers were best known for the 1965 classic ‘You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’’, produced by Phil Spector. The backing singer on the song was Cher.

When the movie ‘Ghost’ premiered in 1990 the Righteous Brothers version of the 1955 song was a hit all over again.

Medley also had a number one hit globally with ‘(I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life’ from the movie ‘Dirty Dancing.
