Bill Ward, the original drummer with Black Sabbath, has announced the formation of a new band.
Ward has not participated in the final two tours by the band due to disagreements over his ability to play consistently (the Sabbath side) and/or the inability of the two parties to come together on contract terms (Ward’s side).
On Monday afternoon, Ward said he had formed the band Day of Errors with Joe Amodea on guitar and Nick Diltz on bass and lead vocals. Guesting are Walter Earl on percussion and Aron Ward on keyboards.
In the desire to have my drumming spirit continue to live, I’m pleased to say that I’ve helped to create a new three-piece band called “Day of Errors,” accompanied by two guest musicians playing keyboards and percussion.
We play loud, hard, with overtures of gut-kicking heavy, heavy parts.
Amodea is a New York City area guitarist who has played with bands such as The Mighty Pragmatics, Alekhine’s Gun and Warrior Soul along with being an in-demand session artist. Diltz is a member of the band All Hail the Yeti.
