Legendary troubadour Billy Bragg books his Australian tour covering Woody Guthrie and his own work.
The tour is titled Ain’t Nobody That Can Sing Like Me, named for a line in Guthrie’s ‘Way Over Yonder (In The Minor Key)’.
Bragg and Wilco’s interpretation of the folk icon’s music on the Mermaid Avenue albums will be presented in this series of two part shows. The other part covers Bragg’s storied career of activism and lyricism, spanning almost three decades.
He plays all around the nation, including Hobart, and at the Melbourne festival where the Guthrie half will be on the first night and the second night will be all-Billy.
Tickets are on sale from the venues, Ticketmaster for Melbourne, BOCSticketing for Perth, and Ticketek for Sydney.
