Billy Galewood will no longer be Bushwalla after 2015. Bushwalla is reverting back to Billy Galewood and the 15 year Bushwalla name is being retired.
’15 years ago Jason (Mraz) and I came up with Bushwalla. I don’t know what that is and it launched me into 15 years of joy,” Billy told fans via YouTube.
He added, “December 20 will be my last show as Bushwalla ever. To me what Bushwalla is is just a beautiful thought. It is an experience. Everything that happens in life arises and passes away and I am ready to try something new”.
Bushwalla fans will be treated to ample farewell new music during 2015. “This year I’m going to go forward super hard,” he said. “I’m going to start a go-funding campaign. I am going to fund as many things as I can put out. I am going to put out as many albums as I can put out”.
Bushwalla has had a long association with Jason Mraz dating back to their collaboration ‘Curbside Prophet’ on Jason’s debut album ‘Waiting For My Rocket To Come’.
Mraz is also an unofficial member of Galewood’s 1-2-3 Band joining the band whenever his schedule allows.
