Birds of Tokyo are heading in a ‘darker, dystopic, cinematic’ direction with their next album ‘Brace’.

‘Brace’ is the fifth album for Birds Of Tokyo following on from 2013’s ‘March Fires’.

Ian Kenny formed Birds of Tokyo in Perth in 2004 as an alternate act to his other band Karnivool.

Birds of Tokyo had a soft start. The debut ‘Day One’ in 2007 peaked at no 88 but the second album ‘Universes’ established the band nationally, peaking at no 3.

The third album ‘Birds of Tokyo’ reached no 2 in Australia and ‘March Fires’ debuted at no 1.

‘Brace’ was produced by Canadian David Bottrill who has worked on albums by Tool, Muse and Silverchair.

‘Brace’ the single is out now and the album is coming November 4.

The previous Birds of Tokyo album was the Singles Collection of 2015.
