All four original members of Black Sabbath (Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward) will be on-hand next Friday (November 11) at the Whiskey A Go-Go in Los Angles to make what is being called a “special announcement.”
The date is significant as it will be the 41st anniversary, to the day, of when the group made their Los Angeles debut at the same venue (November 11, 1970). Henry Rollins will host the event.
Rumors have been rampant over the last several months that a reunion was coming, with reports of meetings, rehearsals, songwriting sessions and even rumored recordings. Last month, Ozzy Osbourne told Billboard that new material is “a very, very strong possibility. It’s in the very early stages, so we haven’t recorded anything yet.”
