Gold Coast surf-rock brats Bleeding Knees Club book a UK tour before releasing their debut album.
The upstarts from the Sunshine State have been actually been getting a lot of love in Blighty already, their UK debut single ‘Have Fun’ popping up on Zane Lowe’s show on BBC Radio 1, as well as on 6Music and xfm.
This led to spots on Brighton’s Great Escape festival and Liverpool Sound City, and NME dubbing them one of 2011’s 50 Best New Bands.
In their spare seconds, Jordan and Alex laid down their debut album with producing guidance from Dev Hynes (Lightspeed Champion, Blood Orange) in New York.
Now a trio (with Matthew Woods on drums and Alex coming up front on vocals and guitar) they’re ready to deliver the album – Nothing To Do – on February 27, and play five shows in Brighton, London, Portsmouth and Leeds that month.
The title track will appear as a single on January 22. In the meantime, check out a little video from their previous UK tour featuring their track ‘Bad Guys’ below.
