Canberra’s Peking Duk are going global via BMG.
Adam Hyde and Reuben Styles formed Pekin Duk in 2010. The hits starting rolling in with ‘High’ featuring Nicole Millar in 2014. That started a run of chart songs ‘’Take Me Over’ with SAFIA, ‘Say My Name’ with Benjamin Joseph, ‘Stranger’ with Elliphant, ‘Fake Magic’ with AlunaGeorge and ‘Let You Down’ with Icona Pop.
The newest song for Pekin Duk is ‘Wasted’.
Heath Johns, Managing Director of BMG Australia, said, “Adam and Reuben are creative visionaries and their run of hits is unparalleled in recent years. The whole global BMG team is delighted to extend our Peking Duk deal for the world and our incredible team in Australia is very excited to now have the rights for ANZ. BMG’s Australian roster includes LDRU, SAFIA, Golden Features, AC/DC, Wolfmother, Lance Ferguson, The Living End, Meg Mac, San Cisco, Drapht, Montaigne, Matt Corby, Jesse Porsches, Tigerilla, Running Touch, Tame Impala (ex. ANZ), Dead Letter Circus, Nicole Millar, Wave Racer and The Cat Empire.
Peking Duk’s manager, Ben Dennis, said of the deal with BMG, “The decision to sign with BMG for worldwide publishing was made based on multiple meetings in multiple continents. Peking Duk have released 14 singles between 2011 and 2018. The debut album is coming soon.
