Sugar and Hüsker Dü frontman Bob Mould announces his new solo album Silver Age, inspired by recent Foo Fighters shows.
Mould is renowned as the frontman for mopey cult power pop outfits Hüsker Dü and Sugar and this year he returns with his first solo effort since 2009’s Life And Times.
A press release says that the new set was inspired by recent shows supporting Foo Fighters and reliving Sugar’s Copper Blue debut in a string of 20th anniversary shows.
Mould has brought his touring band on board – Jon Wurster (of Superchunk) and Jason Narducy (of Split Single and Verbow) for the ten track album.
Silver Age will be released through Shock in Australia on September 7. Check out Bob and Dave Grohl playing some Hüsker Dü classics live below.
