Bobbi Kristina Brown’s estate has amended their $10 million lawsuit against Nick Gordon.
The 22-year-old daughter of late singer Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown passed away on July 26 after being in a coma for nearly six months.
Bobbi Kristina was found unconscious in the bathtub at the home she shared with boyfriend Nick on January 31 and doctors put her on life support when she arrived at hospital.
NBC News 11Alive WXIA in Atlanta reports the legal parties overseeing Bobbi Kristina’s estate have filed an amended wrongful death suit against Nick, claiming he is the primary force behind her fatal accident.
The original $10 million lawsuit against him brought forth on June 26 asserted he stole thousands of dollars from Bobbi Kristina and physically abused her. The updated suit now includes a wrongful death claim.
And according to the outlet, estate conservators contend in the amended filing that after returning home from a night where he partook in a ‘cocaine and drinking binge’, Nick ‘gave Bobbi Kristina a toxic cocktail rendering her unconscious and then put her face down in a tub of cold water causing her to suffer brain damage’.
TMZ reports Nick insists he had nothing to do with her death and that Bobbi Kristina just took too many drugs on her own the day she fell into coma.
An initial autopsy has been carried out to find out the cause of death, but so far it appears to have been inconclusive.
She was buried in the Fairview Cemetery in New Jersey next to her late mother Whitney, who died under similar circumstances.
Although a police report describes Bobbi’s death as a drowning, apparently a case is being built against Nick as the person who caused her demise.
