Bobby Brown has found the loss of his daughter Bobbi Kristina ‘unimaginable’.
The 46-year-old singer was by his little girl’s bedside when she passed away on Sunday after spending nearly six months in a comatose state. The 22-year-old was the only child of Bobby and late music legend Whitney Houston, and the star was quick to pay tribute to his beloved offspring.
‘Krissy was and is an angel. I am completely numb at this time,” he said in a statement to E! News Monday. “My family must find a way to live with her in spirit and honour her memory. Our loss is unimaginable.”
Bobbi Kristina was originally found face down and unresponsive in a bathtub at her home near Atlanta, Georgia on January 31. The incident was eerily similar to how her mother Whitney was found in February 2012 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. She died aged 48.
Bobbi Kristina was placed in a medically induced coma in the days after the incident but on June 24 she was moved to hospice care and her loved ones began to pay their last respects.
Over the months, fans have held vigils and prayer sessions for the young woman, and Bobby made sure to reference their efforts in his statement.
“We thank everyone for the prayers for Krissy and our family as we mourn my baby girl,” he added.
His words come after TMZ claimed that law enforcement officers had officially branded her death as a homicide investigation. No official statement has been made by the police at this time.
However a full autopsy was confirmed by The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office earlier on Monday but warned that it could be hard to draw conclusions due to the time between her being found and her death.
