69-year old Womack was scheduled to perform at Sydney’s iconic venue tonight and again tomorrow. The Saturday show was to be the official opening of the Vivid Live festival.

The show tonight will not be rescheduled and at this stage the Vivid opening night show tomorrow is still going ahead as planned.

A statement from the Sydney Opera House reads, “We have just been advised due to health reasons, and as a precaution, Bobby Womack will not be performing tonight at 9pm. We fully expect tomorrow’s performance to proceed as scheduled.

“All tickets for tonight will be automatically refunded.”
