Melbourne punk band Bodyjar have announced the release of their new album ‘Role Model’, due October 18th via UNFD.
Starting out in Melbourne in 1994 during the punk boom in that put them alongside the likes of Blink 182, The Offspring, Pennywise and Frenzel Rhomb, Bodyjar were at the forfront of Australia’s punk scene. Officially, the group has been on hiatus since 2009 but returned to the stage for their ‘No Touch Red’ reunion tour in 2012. Since then they have supported the Descendants on their Australian tour earlier this year and have recorded a new album.
‘Role Model’ promises to give their long-time fans a bunch of new material that will remind them of the good ol’ days and will introduce a new generation to their music who otherwise might not know who they are.
