Bohemian Rhapsody and Rami Malek win Golden Globe Awards

The Queen biopic ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ has won the Best Motion Picture – Drama award at the Golden Globe Awards. Rami Malek, who starred as Freddie Mercury, also won the Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama award.

‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ was only nominated for two awards and won both. Malek was the only actor in the movie to receive a nomination and despite the music heavy soundtrack and storyline, because the songs were all previously released songs, the soundtrack or songs did not qualify for Best Original Score or Best Original Song.

Best Original Song went to Lady Gaga, Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomanda and Andrew Wyatt for ‘Shallow’. The Best Original Song went to Justin Hurwitz for First Man.

Bohemian Rhapsody the movie will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray in February.
