‘What About Now’ sold 100,000 units to debut at number one for Bon Jovi. The Bowie album sold 83,000, according to HitsDailyDouble.com.
‘What About Now’ was released midway through a high profile North American tour and heavy marketing campaign for Bon Jovi while Bowie’s album snuck up on fans and was released with no promotional or touring activity from Bowie.
Four other albums were found debuting in this week’s American chart; Passion ‘Let The Passion Begin’, Eric Clapton ‘Old Sock’, Dave Grohl’s ‘Sound City: Real To Reel’ soundtrack and Mindless Behavior ‘All Around The World’.
