Bones Ends With John Lennon’s Out The Blue

After 12 seasons the hit TV series ‘Bones’ has come to an end and John Lennon and Moby were there to play the cast off.

Lennon’s 1973 ‘Mind Games’ album track “Out The Blue’ was officially the final song heard on Bones as the cast wrapped up 12 years of work. Moby’s ‘Almost Home’ played just before it.

‘Almost Home’ is from Moby’s 2013 album ‘Innocents’.

‘Out The Blue’ was an interesting choice of last song as it was so personal to Lennon. The song was written for and about his wife Yoko and recorded at the time they were separated.

Bones began in September 2005.

The show was no stranger to guest stars. ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons played Angela’s father Pearl Gates in a couple of seasons. Pearly Gates is the name of the guitar he uses in ZZ Top.

Cyndi Lauper was also an occasional actor in the show playing clairvoyant Avalon. Cyndi reprised her role for the second last episode.
