Classic rock voice Bonnie Bramlett, who lit up the airwaves in the early 70’s as part of Delaney and Bonnie (Comin’ Home, Never Ending Song of Love, Soul Shake), is keeping busy doing guest appearances on a variety of albums.
Post-Dalaney and Bonnie, Bramlett recorded a number of solo albums, sang backup for everyone from Stephen Stills to the Allman Brothers and dabbled in acting, most notably as a waitress and co-worker to the title character on Roseanne. Her last album was 2008’s Beautiful.
Today, she has contributing to three upcoming albums:
- Unsung Hero: A Tribute to the Music of Ron Davies – Bonnie closes the album with Davies’ song Lay My Body Down. Also appearing on the tribute are Delbert McClinton, Alison Krauss, Guy Clark, Vince Gill and Jimmy Hall.
- Forever Young by The Les Humphries Singers – Bonnie contributes to the group’s remake of Never Ending Song of Love.
- When I Was Your Age by Patterson Barrett – Bonnie sings on the tracks Come Back to Me and Nobody’s Fault But Your Own.
