The Wiggles are hanging up their skivvies. Well, at least they are handing them over to a new generation.
The Wiggles have announced that after 21 years this will be their final year of touring.
In a statement to fans they wrote, “G’day everyone! After 21 amazing years, today we are announcing that 2012 will be our final year of touring together. Jeff, Murray and Greg have decided that it is time to step off stage and hand over the Purple, Red and Yellow skivvies to a new generation of Wiggles. Next week we embark on an amazing Celebration World tour commencing in Singapore, then travelling to the UK, USA, New Zealand and Canada that will culminate in our arena tour in Australia in November and December!”
There will still be a Wiggles but it won’t be same Wiggles. Jeff, Murray and Greg will hand in the skivvies. Anthony will continue the band with three new Wiggles in the new year. Emma, Lachie and Simon will be the red, purple and yellow skivvies next year.
