Brendan Gallagher, producer of Jimmy Little’s contemporary comeback ‘Messenger’, will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release with shows around Australia in October and November.
‘Messenger’ featuring Jimmy’s take on historic Australian rock songs from Crowded House, The Reels, The Church, The Sunnyboys, Paul Kelly and more. The album was released in 1999. Jimmy died in 2012.
In 2001 Brendan took Jimmy Little back to the studio to record a bookend album ‘Resonate’.
The show ‘Celebrating Jimmy Little’s Messenger The 20th Anniversary: In the Shadow of the Black Love’ show is a multi-media performance with Jimmy’s grandson James Henry, Messenger sideman Stu Hunter and different guests in each town.
