Bruce Springsteen has been nominated for a Helpmann Award for Best International Contemporary Concert after winning the category last year.
It is rare for an artist the calibre of Springsteen to tour Australia within 12 months so the return visit has qualified Bruce for the second time after he won last year.
Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band and promoter Frontier Touring have been shortlisted with Eddie Vedder and Chugg Entertainment, Beyonce and Live Nation and Pink and Live Nation for awards this year.
The nominees for Best Contemporary Music Festival are Bluesfest Byron Bay, The Laneway Festival from Lunatic Entertainment and Chugg Entertainment, Vivid Live by Destination NSW and Sydney Opera House and The Falls Music Festival with Ash Sounds Pty Ltd.
The third contemporary category nominees were Flume from Future Classic, Lunatic Entertainment and Chugg Entertainment, Hunters & Collectors for Frontier Touring and Roundhouse Entertainment, The Australian Chamber Orchestra with The Presets for Destination NSW and the Sydney Opera House and Tame Impala and the Sydney Opera House.
The Helpmann Awards will be held on Monday, August 18 at the Capitol Theatre in Sydney.
