Bruce Springsteen To Deliver SXSW Keynote

Bruce Springsteen will be the keynote speaker at SXSW 2012 kicking off a year of activity for Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band.

In the year’s I have attended SXSW keynote speakers have included Neil Young, Pete Townshend, Quincy Jones, Smokey Robinson, Lou Reed and this year it was Yoko Ono.

Springsteen and the E Street Band will begin their world tour in Sevilla, Spain on May 13, 2012.

It has been a tragic year for The E Street Band with the death of founding member Clarence Clemons in June. They also lost founding member keyboard player Danny Federici in 2008. Danny had been in the band since 1972.

SXSW is the world’s biggest music conference taking place every March in Austin, Texas.
