The upcoming third studio album for Missy Higgins was produced by Adelaide singer songwriter Butterfly Boucher.
Nashville based Butterfly Boucher is part of the Nashville group Ten Out of Tenn. The ten artists perform on stage all at once and perform each other’s songs. In 2008, they were the subject of the documentary ‘Any Day Now’.
Butterfly has also released two solo albums ‘Flutterby’ (2003) and ‘Scary Fragile (2009). She also recorded the duet of David Bowie’s ‘Changes’ with David Bowie for the 2004 movie ‘Shrek 2’.
Her songs have appeared in the TV shows ‘Charmed’, ‘Spin City’ and ‘Grey’s Anatomy’.
Butterfly Boucher was in Missy Higgins band this week playing bass at her show at The Falls Festival.
The third Missy Higgins album has been a long-time coming. She has been working on it since 2009. There is no release date for the album at this stage.
