City Calm Down are preparing for the release of their third album Television dropping the new song ‘Stuck’ (On The Eastern).
‘Television’ is a different album for City Calm Down. “We set out to make a record that would excite us,” explains singer Jack Bourke. “That meant drawing on influences we grew up listening to and first excited us as kids, bands like The Clash, T.Rex, Midnight Oil, Talking Heads and The Smiths and mixing those influences with artists we’ve come to love as we’ve grown up.
“We’re proud of how different this record is from everything else we’ve done,” he continues. “And we’re fucking excited to put it out!”
The album was recorded at The Grove Studios in New South Wales by Burke Reid.
‘Television’ follows up ‘In A Restless House’ (2015) and ‘Echoes In Blue’ (2018).
