Former Libertine Carl Barat has confirmed that he has asked the former Smiths guitar legend to collaborate on his second solo album.
Speaking to NME the frontman revealed the new record will be more guitar-based than his piano led debut.
Joining the Smiths guitarist who features on one demo Barat has drafted in Ed Harcourt and Andy Burrows (Razorlight / We Are Scientists) to help on song writing duties.
Barat has not settled on a producer for the untitled album as yet but we understand that he will look to release it at the end of the year.
More info as we have it.
