Guitar shaman Carlos Santana will publish a memoir in 2014, with stories about Miles Davis, B.B. King and Eric Clapton.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Santana’s memoir will be published by Little Brown in English and Spanish in 2014.
A press release stated that Santana’s “highest wish” is to “help readers discover the sanctity, grace, and divinity in themselves” so it might not be your average rock star memoir.
It promises to tell of his memories of music icons, including: Miles Davis, B.B. King, Freddie King, Albert King, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, John Lee Hooker, Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Otis Rush and Harry Belafonte.
He will also write about the spiritual influence of his encounters with Cesar Chavez, Dolores Huerta, and Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
