Golden Plains 2013 has announced first act Cat Power and opened their ticket ballot.

This is the seventh incarnation of Golden Plains, the bespoke indie festival in the gorgeous Meredith Natural Ampitheatre, and it’s retaining the trademarks: single stage, BYO, small crowd, and no commercial sponsors.
Plus, of course, the always trustworthy line-up, which will be announced in full later on in the month. But first up, they offer the faithful Cat Power.
Chan Marshall will bring her all-new band to play her classic tunes and new songs from her new album Sun.
They now announce their Subscriber Ticket Ballot, in two rounds. The first for existing subscribers and the second for new ones. You can enter the ballot here. It closes at midday Monday 22 October for old subs and 10pm on Monday 29 October for new subs.
Golden Plains Seven will take place at the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre in Victoria from March 9 to 11, 2013.
