In the lead up to her new album, Cat Power offers a free download of new song ‘Cherokee’.

Chan Marshall, better known as Cat Power, is about to release her first album in over six years, Sun, and has now delivered another song to follow up the first taster ‘Ruin’.

The new track, ‘Cherokee’, is available to fans for free. You just have to head to her website and plug in your email address to get the song and also snare a remix by New York electro artist Nicholas Jaar.

Sun will be released in full on September 3 on Matador. Have another listen to her new tunes on the Sun announcement video below.
