Cee Lo Green and Jordan Sparks have been cast for the movie ‘Sparkle’.

‘Sparkle’ will be a remake of the 1976 musical starring Irene Cara and Philip Michael Thomas.
Salim Akil, who also worked on ‘The Game’, ‘Jumping The Broom’ and ‘Girlfriends’, will direct the new movie. The screenplay is by Mara Akil, one of the producers of the TV series ‘Moesha’.
Whitney Houston will also star in the new ‘Sparkle’.
The movie is expected to be released in 2014.
