Chaka Khan is taking the Wayne’s World “if you book them, they will come” approach by announcing a Melbourne show in just three weeks time.
Khan will be in Australia for the Sydney Festival and has added the Melbourne show in a large venue with a Christmas and New Years break in-between to further complicate tickets sales.
The one-off show will take place at Melbourne’s Plenary Hall. The Plenary in Melbourne has a capacity of between 2500-5500 depending on the configuration of the hall.
Sydney won’t be an issue. It is a free show as part of the Sydney Festival.

Chaka Khan is a 10-time Grammy Award winner. She last toured Australia in the 90s. ‘I haven’t been to Australia in a long time, I’m really looking forward to performing at the 2014 Sydney Festival and in Melbourne’. Says, Chaka Khan.
Her biggest hits include ‘I Feel For You’, ‘I’m Every Woman’ and with Rufus ‘Ain’t Nobody’.
