A Cabbage Patch Kid version of Aerosmith mic-stand-swinger Steven Tyler is being auctioned for charity.
UK magazine Metal Hammer report that the lead howler and American Idol judge is now in the likeness of a Cabbage Patch Doll, which was made for an eBay auction to raise funds for an adoption charity Children’s Action Network.
The “One-of-a-Kind Celebrity Cabbage Patch Kid” is on eBay for another week or so, and at the time of writing it has accrued 39 bids and is at US$640.
This isn’t the first time CAN has recreated celebrities in doll form to raise money in the hope of finding homes for over 100, 000 children in foster care. They have previously auctioned dolls of weatherman legend Al Roker, and actresses Katherine Heigl, Kristin Chenoweth and Raven-Symoné.
The Board Director of the charity is one Henry Winkler. Yup, the Fonz. He said, “We are pleased to be chosen as the main beneficiary of this wonderful and creative auction of one-of-a-kind Celebrity Cabbage Patch Kids.
“With so many children in the foster care system, there is tremendous need for support from our community. The funds raised in this auction will bring programs and services to these deserving children.”
So head over to the auction here and lay down some cash for a creepy Steven Tyler doll.
