Charlie Pickering to Interview Ben Folds for Melbourne Writers Festival

The Weekly TV host Charlie Pickering will sit down with Ben Folds for an ‘In Conversation’ event at the Melbourne Writers Festival in August.

Ben Folds is about to have his first book published. ‘A Dream About Lightning Bugs’ is Ben’s autobiography where he discusses his life from coming of age to gracing stages all over the world.

Ben’s ‘A Dream About Lightning Bugs’ chronicles his youth time of the 1970s growing up in North Carolina and dissects his creative process and steps he always undertakes in putting together new music.

Ben Folds dictum is “Smile like you’ve got nothing to prove, because it hurts to grow up, but everybody does, and life flies by in seconds”.

Ben Folds and Charlie Pickering with be at the Athenaeum Theatre Melbourne at 8pm on 31 August 2019.
