Charlie Sheen is the subject of a new Richard Clapton song.
‘Dancing With The Vampires’ is one of the key tracks on Richard’s upcoming album ‘Harlequin Nights’. The song is a nod to Hollywood’s party boy Charlie Sheen.
The chorus of the song goes, “I’ve been dancing with the vampires babe/D’ya know just what I mean/So many things driving me insane/Till I feel like Charlie Sheen”.
“Its a homage to a colourful character,” Richard tells Noise11.com.
Richard describes ‘Harlequin Nights’ as a bookend to his 1977 classic ‘Goodbye Tiger’. “Goodbye Tiger was a collection of songs written by a young man in his twenties in 1977 about the experiences of the world we lived in back in those days. This new album is a collection of songs written by the same songwriter some 35 years later about the world we live in today.”
‘Harlequin Nights’ will be released on August 4.
