Divinyls classic ‘I Touch Myself’ is being used to create Breast Cancer awareness on the first anniversary of the death of Chissy Amphlett.
The Divinyls singer lost her battle with breast cancer on April 21, 2013 at age 53.
At itoughmyself.org the #itouchmyslefproject has begun with a new version of the song featuring Deborah Conway, Kate Ceberano, Little Patti, Katie Noonan, Sarah McLeod and Sarah Blasko.
At the website it states, “She sang it. She shouted it. And we couldn’t help but listen. Now Chrissy wants us to hear her words again. For breast cancer awareness. Chrissy gave us this song. This is her divine wish. Touch yourself”.
The new ‘I Touch Myself’ by The I Touch Myself Project is now available on iTunes. All proceeds will go to the Cancer Council of NSW.
