Michael Buble’s ‘Christmas’ is once again the Christmas album of 2017 in Australia outselling the high profile John Farnham and Olivia Newton-John (FONJie) ‘Friends for Christmas’.
Bube’s ‘Christmas’ had almost a 2000 sales lead over FONJie’s ‘Friends for Christmas’ this week.
Bube’s also outsold FONJie last week but FONJie was slightly in front for its debut three weeks ago slightly ahead of Buble’s ‘Christmas’ by less than 500 units. In the total three week run since the release of FONJie ‘Friends For Christmas’ Buble has maintained just over a 2000 sales lead.
Michael Buble’s ‘Christmas’ has sold over 900,000 copies in Australia. It is the biggest selling Christmas album ever in Australia and the 18th biggest selling album of all-time.
Christmas albums are up and down the chart this week with Pentatonx ‘A Pentatonix Christmas’ well behind Bubes and FONJie at no 24, then its Kylie Minogue ‘Kylie Christmas’ at 30, Mariah Carey’s Christmas classic ‘Merry Christmas’ at no 31, Pentatonix ‘That’s Christmas To Me’ at 37, Human Nature ‘The Christmas Album’ at 38, The Ten Tenors ‘Our Christmas Wish’ at 51, Neil Diamond ‘Acoustic Christmas’ at 89 and Andre Rieu ‘Best of Christmas’ 93.
Mariah Carey’s ‘Merry Christmas’ has sold over 400,000 copies in Australia.
