After returning from a successful tour of the US, Clairy Browne And The Bangin’ Rackettes are set to start their Australian summer tour this weekend.
Clairy Browne And The Bangin’ Rackettes return from the US with rave reviews, an interview on NPR’s Scott Simon, and a performance and interview on the Last Call With Carson Daly.
This was the third US tour in the space of a year for the group, which included shows at the legendary New Orleans’ House Of Blues venue, a Halloween Costume Ball in the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and a residency at Las Vegas casino, The Cosmopolitan.
While in Nashville, Clairy Browne And The Bangin’ Rackettes worked on their yet-to-be-titled second album with Alabama Shakes’ producer Andrija Tokic.
Returning to Australia to begin an extensive summer tour taking in capital cities, as well as appearance at the Summer Of Soul Festival at Mossvale Park, the Melbourne Zoo Twilight series, and the Falls Festival.
Clairy Browne And The Bangin’ Rackettes put on a blistering live set filled with choreographed shimmys, pounding drums, a superb brass section, and Browne’s expressive vocals. See for yourself in the video below filmed at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel directed by young filmmaker, Edwin Tejoz.
