Cold Chisel will play some intimate shows in Sydney and Melbourne for the launch of their new album ‘No Plans’.
The band have gigs set for April 12 in Melbourne at Festival Hall and April 18 in Sydney at the Hordern Pavilion.
These are in addition to the already announced Bluesfest (April 5) and Sandalford Estate (April 7) performances.
The ‘No Plans’ album will be released on April 6 though Warner Music.
The album started in 2009 before the death of drummer Steve Prestwich. Charley Drayton (Divinyls) completed the work and has now permanently joined the band.
All songs on the album were produced by Cold Chisel except for ‘All For You’ (Nash Chambers) and mixed by Kevin Shirley.
Songs were mostly written by Don Walker (including) ‘HQ454’ with Troy Cassar-Daley except ‘Dead And Laid To Rest’ by Jimmy Barnes and Guy Davies, ‘Too Late’ by Ian Moss and ‘I Got Things To Do’ by Steve Prestwich.
‘No Plans’ is the first Cold Chisel album in 14 years.
