Coldplay At Wembley June 15 2016 #REVIEW

Any music fan is fully aware that Coldplay never fail to disappoint a crowd of thousands. The band were met with relentless rainfall within Wembley, yet Chris Martian (lead) vowed to make the performance the best they had ever done; regardless of the battle of the elements.

They belted out their well-known classics from Yellow to more recent tracks such as Adventure of a Lifetime, energising the hearts and souls of every fan from the audience.

When arriving at the venue, I, along with the many thousand other ticket holders were given a wristband to wear. These were automatically controlled and lit up the crowd creating an ocean of coloured light which lapped against the stage where Coldplay performed. This element really enhanced the entire performance and made the whole audience really involved with the band’s magic onstage.

In terms of the quality of the live music, Coldplay could have stepped out of one of their recorded studio albums. Every track was pristine and note-perfect, tuned to optimum brilliance. The only fault emerged when Chris Martian’s guitar stopped working during the song ‘Trouble’. However this was no disaster in the face of the seasoned performers, who continued to play the song one guitar down. The crowd were equally as thrilled without the guitar, as they would have been with it, highlighting Coldplay’s gold-lining which makes them so great in the world of music.

This show marked the end of their London tour dates, before embarking across the world for the rest of their shows. It’s safe to say those awaiting to see Coldplay on their Head Full of Dreams tour are guaranteed the night of a lifetime, as I and many others, left with the pure positive vibes that Coldplay never fail to deliver.
