Grammy Award winning Coldplay performed a 14-song set to close the 2012 Paralympics in Manchester. (September 8, 2012).

Unlike the Olympics Game closing which was a show-bag of the history of British rock, the Coldplay performance at the Paralympics was a complete Coldplay show.
Special guests for the performance were Jay-Z and Rihanna. Jay-Z joined Coldplay for ‘Run This Town/Paradise’. Rihanna performed ‘Princess of China’ in the Coldplay set.
Coldplay have won seven Grammy Awards including Best Rock Album for Viva La Vida in 2009 and Record of the Year for Clocks in 2004.
