Coldplay have designed a unique scavenger hunt sending fans into libraries to search for handwritten lyrics of songs from their new album.

The lyrics, handwritten by Chris Martin, have been hidden in ghost story books in libraries in nine countries. The name of the new Coldplay album is ‘Ghost Stories’.

Clues are being posted from the Coldplay Twitter account using the hashtag #lyricshunt. Solve the clues and you might find the lyrics sheet in your part of the world.

Pages have already been found in Kent, Mexico City, Singapore and Helsinki.

One of the envelopes will also contain a Golden Ticket. The finder of the Golden Ticket will be flown to London with a friend to see Coldplay perform at the Royal Albert Hall on July 1.

Coldplay’s sixth album ‘Ghost Stories; will be released in Australia on May 16.
