Coldplay will headline a free concert in India for the Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai.
Chris Martin has a 15-year position as curator of the Global Citizen Festival taking his work through until 2030.
The Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai will coincide with World Toilet Day on 19 November. World Toilet Day addresses the 2.4 billion people on the planet who do not access to proper sanitation.
Starting Monday, tickets to the Global Citizen Festival in India can be earned through the new platform by signing up to become a Global Citizen and completing the festival’s action campaigns at GlobalCitizen.IN
Tickets for the event will be earned by taking action in support of education, equality and sanitation campaigns.
A Global Citizen Festival will also be held at Central Park in New York on with Metallica, Major Lazer, Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar and Demi Lovato with special guest appearances from Chris Martin, Eddie Vedder, Usher, Ellie Goulding and Cat Stevens.
