Colored Balls The First Supper Last Re-issued Back in its Original Form

Gil Matthews’ Aztec Records has released Colored Balls ‘The First Supper Last’ for the first time on CD in its original form.

When the 1976 album ‘The First Supper Last’ was originally released on CD in 1997 the audio was modified. Gil Matthews time-travelled back to the original vinyl release to recapture the complete audio.

The new edition of ‘The First Supper Last’ no has back the one minute of bird and animal sound effects returned to the end of ‘So Glad You’re Mine’, the studio chatter returned to the start of ‘Liberate Rock Part Two Revisited’ and the correct ending of the same song now back in place.

Lobby Loyde recorded ‘The First Supper Last’ at Armstrong Studios in South Melbourne in October 1972. Before the album was released Loyde signed a new record deal with EMI and ‘The First Supper Last’ was shelved before finally being released in May 1976.

Like most Aztec Records releases Gil Matthews has added bonus tracks for the new edition. The new ‘The First Supper Last’ features Lobby’s 1972 3XY Festival Hall concert.

Toto Returns To Melbourne #Review

Toto’s 2025 setlist focuses on the heritage of the band. The setlist was interesting. Compared to how it was curated for Australia in 2019 this time Toto kept to the albums of the 1900s. Mind you, there were no complaints from the audience for doing that. The biggest hits came from those early years.
